Brooklyne Elysse is a Christian storyteller who pens words for the unapologetically deep thinkers, those willing to choose hope in hardship, light in darkness, and bravery in the unknown. Upon earning her bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Liberty University, she loses track of time tweaking the slightest design details on freelance projects and dreaming up book covers for her fellow authors. Brooklyne has a soft spot for therapy dogs, her nephews, and peppermint ice cream. Home is nestled in the countryside of Ohio with her family, where she grows her personal library, trains for her next fitness challenge, and embraces life as a grand adventure.
My Approach to Design
Book Cover Design and Small Business Logos
I value empathy, creative problem solving, and I appreciate time-honored design methods while remaining adaptable to new software. I am enthusiastic about visual storytelling through graphic design and illustration with an emphasis on brand identity and print design. I believe good design is both compelling and aesthetic while remaining purposeful and intentional. I see graphic design and art as a way I can celebrate creativity that points to the Creator. My strongest skillsets are time management, communication skills, visual communication skills, attention to detail, typography, brand identity, and illustration. When I set out to design a project, I genuinely want my work to aid in the success of the author, business, or organization I design for.
Visual storytelling is just as important for authors! (Your cover design matters!)
My Approach to Writing
Fiction
I value books with realistic characters, meaningful themes, a strong plot, and a historically-rich setting. Fiction, to me, is more than entertainment, but it’s a reflection of worldview and imagination. The words I write are intentional in showing readers through fiction what God has been teaching me. Through my characters and the adventures they go on, I am able to explore new ideas, themes, and settings. God designed the human mind to be able to create stories that no computer on earth can match.
Non-Fiction
Poetry and inspirational non-fiction books hold a special place in my heart because writing is how I best process. Words can be healing and hopeful. I truly believe books can change lives and bring light to hearts who need it the most.
